Sr. Computer Security Software Engineer, Must be willing to move to Slidell, LA, Direct Hire. Must have DOD work experience Will be working with Client's resource of high assurance, certifiable multi-level security (MLS) components. These components will be designed for enabling web-based enterprise svcs in the Dept of the Navy. The Sr Computer Security Software Engineer will be respon for the proj software available on the web site and all software that is formally delivered. Qualifications U.S. Citizenship and possess (or ability to obtain) a U.S. Gov Security Clearance required. MS in Computer Science with 8 or more years experience, or BS in Computer Science or 10 yrs exper. Expert knowledge is required in all of the following topics: Programming exper in multiple languages. Core Internet protocols (TCP/IP, UDP,)etc. Embedded Systems. Formal Methods. Engineering Assurance Levels. Trusted Computing Base. In-depth knowledge or familiarity with most or all of the following topics is required: Iterative software dev processes. Cryptography & encryption tools, esp Type 1 Cryptographic Sys. Internet routing protocols & security issues related to Internet routing. Vulnerabilities in Internet protocols & services susceptible to attack by sophisticated state-sponsored info warfare agents. High Assurance sys components & tools. Key network security defenses, such as firewalls, intrusion detection sys, proxies, scanners, & encryption. Kernels & micro-kernels enabling high assurance computer sys. Light weight appliances, co-processors, & other computer hardware or firmware Intrusion detection. Sys admin. Extracting security info from network monitoring tools/applications.
