Description
As a Senior Consultant, you will be an integral part of the services team, helping to foster trusted-advisor relationships and assisting customers in realizing maximum value from their investment in Microsoft technologies. In addition, you will be on the front lines of innovation with Microsoft technology, allowing you to provide crucial feedback to the product development teams to ensure the ongoing success of our products and services. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Advise and educate customers on all Microsoft Platforms configuration activities for large scale enterprise systems implementations * Work closely with customers to understand their requirements and configure system appropriately * Assist customers with development of data views and reports * Troubleshoot issues that arise during deployments * Help customers establish processes to manage and maintain systems post-deployment * Assist with server hardware planning and configuration for optimal system performance * Provide input to the development team on product enhancements to further streamline future deployments To be qualified for this position, you must demonstrate significant knowledge and experience with the architecture and deployment of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory. In addition candidates must possess specialized skills in one or more of the following areas: * Messaging and Collaboration (Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 and later versions, Microsoft Unified Communication products, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, etc.) * Infrastructure Management (Microsoft Operations Manager, Microsoft System Center Operations Manager, Microsoft System Center Application Manager, Microsoft Systems Management Server, etc.) * Business Desktop Deployment Services * Experience in other infrastructure services such as virtualization and high-performance computing is a plus In addition to these technical aptitudes, successful candidates will demonstrate success in the management of complex projects and must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with a mainstream project lifecycle methodology is strongly preferred. BS/BA degree in computer science, information systems, or related field also strongly preferred.df-tc
