Job Summary

The role of the Senior Database Contract Programmer within our client's Real Estate Risk Services will be to perform database programming responsibilities within a software engineering group involved in the design and development of a web-based, computationally intensive applications for the Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) and broader commercial real estate industries. The applications will be n-tiered web applications, built upon a J2EE framework utilizing Java Server Pages (JSP), Servlets, Enterprise Java Beans (EJB), Weblogic Application Server, and Oracle 9i. Development will be done on a Windows 2000 Server environment, and the applications will operate in production on a Solaris UNIX.

Specifically, the Sr. Database Contractor Programmer will be required to:
1) Perform PL/SQL programming to implement required business logic within a database being designed by the Database Development Team Lead / Architect.
2) Assist with database schema development where needed.

Experience/Skills
Skills/Tools:
Oracle 8i or 9i experience required. Very strong PL/SQL programming skills required. Knowledge of Solaris UNIX desired. Knowledge of J2EE technologies such as JSP, Servlets, and EJB's a significant plus.

Work Experience:
6 years database application development experience with progressively more distinct technical roles. At least 4 years experience developing data stores for commercial (non-internal), web-based applications. Financial services experience a significant plus.

Educational Requirements:
BS in Computer Science or closely related discipline required.
