Description
Deb Hester & Associates is an independent recruiting firm working under contract to help our client identify and screen superior candidates for a Senior Integration Developer opening in Columbia Falls, Montana. This position reports to the Manager of IT Services and applies structured analysis and design techniques to translate high-level design specifications into detailed design documents that utilize the most appropriate technology available. Your 3 years of professional experience in IT and 1 year of software development experience in a corporate environment will provide an excellent foundation for this position.


Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

. Apply structured analysis and design techniques to specifications
. Design, develop, test, and document custom integration applications
. Provide technical support to users
. Develop a sound understanding of relevant business processes to effectively create software applications
. Work closely with infrastructure and software development teams to define and document development standards, perform code reviews, and prepare technical documentation
. Create and document structured code that can be easily maintained by other programmers
. Test and debug programs, ensuring the code follows IT technical standards
. Create interfaces and applications that are stable, scalable, and easily maintainable
. Manage external development resources, ensuring adherence to design specifications, development methodology and other standards


Required Skills & Attributes:

. Bachelor degree in Computer Science or other degree plus relevant IT experience
. Minimum 3 years professional IT experience
. Minimum 1 year experience in corporate software development including detailed design, database development using stored procedures, UI and report development, source code management, testing, documentation, deployment, maintenance, and user support.
. Track record of creating interfaces and applications that are stable, scalable and easily maintainable
. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with the server/networking team, IT development staff, functional teams, and external resources
. Ability to effectively document and cross train others on critical setup, configuration, and support procedures
. Must possess thorough technical understanding of relational databases, ETL processing, and service-oriented application development, encompassing security, user interface, database access, inheritance schemes, implementing business logic, and deployment architecture
. Skills in writing ETL logic, application integration components, and web services using Java, JavaScript, XML, or Microsoft .NET
. Ability to effectively create, document, and perform detailed application unit, system, and regression testing
. Excellent organizational abilities, written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills
. Proven ability to operate and effectively communicate while under pressure, as well as maintain a diverse workload and work under time constraints with minimal supervision

Desirable Skills & Attributes:

. Experience working with Verastream Integration Broker, BizTalk, GIS systems, DB2, iSeries, SQL Server, and SonicMQ
