Description
Senior .Net Developer

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering mission critical business applications for enterprise clients using Microsoft .NET technologies. This role has responsibility for understanding client business and technical requirements and then delivering appropriate end-to-end solutions consisting of component-based, services-oriented applications developed using the .NET Framework and complementary Microsoft technologies.

This is a multi-disciplinary role which requires strong software development knowledge and subject matter expertise with topics such as object-oriented design and enterprise integration, relational database design, application architecture, security design and software development methodologies and processes.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of software development experience and 2+ years of experience analyzing, designing and developing large-scale object-oriented applications. The successful candidate will have been working with Microsoft .NET technologies for 2 to 3 years at a minimum.

Primary responsibilities include the following:
Understand, analyze and document client technical environment and business requirements
Participated in the delivery of client solutions by estimating, planning, designing, and implementing distributed software architectures and solutions using Microsoft technologies
Provide client guidance and direction regarding .NET development standards, policies and best practices
Provide client guidance and direction regarding development methodologies, frameworks and processes
Perform technology/tools evaluation and software technical proof of concepts

Required:

Deep knowledge of the .NET Framework, including but not limited to ASP.NET, WinForms, System.Threading, Remoting, XML, ADO.NET
Substantive non-ASP.NET development experience is required
Expert knowledge of C#
Object-Oriented analysis/design experience in multiple contexts/domains
Experience developing distributed .NET applications
Proficiency with design patterns, refactoring and test-driven development
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Project planning and estimation experience
UML
MS SQL Server, general relational design and database development skills
Web presentation technologies including HTML, DHTML, client side scripting and CSS

Desired:
Other object-oriented experience, i.e., C++, Java, Python, Ruby, Delphi, etc.
NAnt, NUnit, MS ABs

Helpful:
Experience with Microsoft servers: CS, CMS, BizTalk, SPS/WSS
COM+, MSMQdf-tc
