Description
Due to the experience requirements, we will not consider recent college graduates for this position. We need a SENIOR. Embedded Software Engineer for an Orange County Design Center. This person will work on our RFID Reader platform to support RFID tag product testing and development. Our software design includes DSP firmware, wireless MAC, embedded database, http server, and TCP/IP modules. Development will implement a corresponding PC tool chain (for calibration and demo purposes). The product will include a high-end embedded CPU, on-board FLASH, RAM, Ethernet PHY, and FPGA. This person will be responsible for the entire software design of specific modules and will participate in requirements analysis, architecture, design and implementation.

requirements are as follows:
BSEE or BSCS and 5+ years of embedded software design.
Proficiency in C.
DSP programming experience, preferably with a Texas Instruments DSP.
Strong system understanding of embedded hardware specifics.
Strong board-level and software lab troubleshooting skills.
Highly desired:
Experience with wireless air interface protocols.
RF control experience.
Good understanding of network transport protocols (TCP/IP, http...).
Experience with embedded Linux.
A bonus:
Experience with developing PC-based applications.
