Perform basic database functions and fundamental data modeling tasks.
Install and manage development and production databases in current standard environments.
Perform problem diagnosis, performance tuning, capacity planning and configuration management. Identify entities, attributes and referential relationships for data models using Information Engineering approach.
Assure system stability and future compatibility by monitoring production execution of all relevant systems.
Create logical and physical data models.
Create tables, indexes, and constants.
Assist programmers with SQL DML.
Generate DCL and DDL as necessary.
Produce and manage all appropriate data modeling according to standards.
Perform all backup and recovery.

Applies extended expertise of database knowledge in most areas, and expertise in three to five areas, usually acquired through three to five years of experience.

Strong diagnostic skills, data modeling language and Designer 2000 fluency.
