Description
This position is responsible for providing leadership, consulting and direction in the use of technology to meet strategic and tactical business goals. The Senior Enterprise Application Architect will assist in the design, implementation and ongoing management of an Enterprise-wide Technical Architecture process. This position will use analysis, facilitation and collaboration to define standards in the context of architectural principles. The Sr. Enterprise Architect will participate in a consulting capacity on technology research, development and implementation projects, by evaluating potential approaches and/or product solutions relative to their alignment with architectural principles and technology standards. Additional responsibilities include producing documented architectures that describe and are used to guide the implementation of technology within the company.df-tc

Experience/Skills
The ideal candidate will have in depth hands-on experience in designing and implementing application systems in an enterprise environment. Extensive knowledge of the IT industry and current technologies such as J2EE, .NET, Web Services and application development methodologies are required. Experience in infrastructure design and implementation is a plus. Candidates must also possess knowledge of architectural development methodology and an IT planning methodology. The ability to integrate technology within a multi-division structure to meet defined business strategies is an additional requirement. Candidates must be able to accurately identify implications, alternatives and/or tradeoffs in the areas of cost/performance versus features/technologies. Candidates must have five to eight years IT experience, preferably in an IT architecture group, and a Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent knowledge.
