Description

Please make sure that the resume is a good representation of your skill set and is in line with the following position description. US Citizenship is required for this role. The general scope of services will include the following:

. Research and provide advice on architectural topics (such as 3-1-1 services,
enterprise work order and asset management, system management and monitoring
solutions, and departmental solutions, etc.).
. Participate in drafting an Enterprise Architectural blueprint for the City.
. Advise on strategic initiatives such as an Enterprise Architecture based on Service
Oriented Architecture principles.
. Develop and present Enterprise Architecture artifacts (e.g., Change Management
Process, Release Management Process).
. Consult with DOT to fill Enterprise Architecture positions.
. Participate in development of a master plan for measuring the current state of
each service outlined in "DOT Service Offerings" and create a roadmap to
achieve each one's desired future state.
. Work with the metrics manager to evaluate current measurement instruments.
. Coordinate with the service offering managers to analyze and document the gap
between the current state and the desired future state of each offering.
. Develop a plan for closing the service offering gaps.
. Presenting the gap analyses and plans to DOT management.
. Provide an Enterprise Architecture viewpoint at meetings.
. Serve on project committees as needed.
. Provide Enterprise Architecture expertise as needed for vendor presentations (e.g.,
Intel vPro, Parallel Computer Technologies, Gartner), new IT project requests
(e.g., Airport Business Continuity project), and other initiatives.

Serve as Enterprise Architect and Program Manager for Enterprise Asset & Work
Order Management Program , as follows:

. Develop a high-level design (architecture), project plan for
implementation, and refined implementation cost estimates for the
development, execution, and launching of an Enterprise Asset and Work
Order Management Program to improve the effectiveness of citizen
request handling and resolution, especially when those requests cross
departmental boundaries, as a foundational precursor to an eventual
citywide 3-1-1 system. The Program's objectives are to:
. Provide timely response to citizens and elected representatives
regarding the initiation, workflow, and closing out of work
requests.
. Enable enterprise-level cross-departmental reporting of request
handling, work management performance, and level of effort.
. Meet each department's asset and work order management
operational and regulatory requirements.
. Minimize the number of vendor relationships.
. Realize economies of scale in the licensing and deployment of
related software products and in the centralized hosting of common
services.
. Allow each department to control its own data and software
configurations.
