Description
As a Senior Exchange Engineer you will be responsible for the design, build and deployment of a large-scale (50,000+ mailboxes) hosted Exchange 2007 service offering within a federated university environment.

Core responsibilities include server management, performance, monitoring and tuning, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and providing expert support and complex problem resolution as related to Exchange and underlying Windows infrastructure.

Ideal candidate will have demonstrated expert knowledge and experience with Exchange architecture and server roles, Outlook, OWA, ActiveSync, mail routing/flow, message cleansing/content filtering, and mobile technology such as Good Mobile and BES. Candidate must also have excellent working knowledge of relevant protocols such as LDAP, SMTP, IMAP and MAPI. Experience with Windows/Exchange clustering, SAN storage technologies, and other relevant Microsoft solutions such as SharePoint, Operations Manager, Live/Office Communication Server and Unified Messaging is highly desired.

Experience/Skills
Requirements: Required - Minimum Education

Bachelors degree of equivalent experience in computer science or related field.

Required - Minimum Work Experience

Four years of experience implementing and supporting distributed computing systems.

Additional Minimums

Extensive and expert experience with Windows server and infrastructure technologies.
Extensive and expert experience with security, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and systems administration.
Requires excellent customer service skills and experience.
Knowledge of Visual Basic, C++, C# or other high-level programming language.
Experience with workstation hardware and software and TCP/IP networking.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, both independently and as part of a team.
