Sr Hardware Test Engineer - Hardware - Automation - Solar - Power Supply - C++ - Python - Power Supplies - Test Scripts

If you are a Hardware Design Verification Engineer with C++ and Automation experience, and live in or within commuting distance to Petaluma, CA - please read on!

What you need for this position:
- Recent 5+ years design/verification/manufacturing test development experience.
- Extensive software development experience in Python, C++, or other Object Oriented programming language, preferably in automation.
- Some experience with power supplies, inverters, or solar power preferred.
- Test Automation background
- Experience with Black Box Testing and White Box Testing
- Strong experience in Hardware Debugging, Hardware Testing, Hardware QA

What you'll be doing:
- Determines test objectives and standards by studying design and regulatory agency requirements; writing hardware design verification test plans and test cases.
- Determine testing methods, cycles, phases, and conditions; setting up testing environment and equipment.
- Design, procures and builds test platforms.
- Identify hardware capability and reliability by conducting functional, system, and performance tests.
- Troubleshoot and resolve testing problems by modifying testing methods during tests
- Design and implements test programs in Python to automate design verification testing.
- Support new and existing hardware designs.
- Analyze/troubleshoot failures on identified systems and drive issues to closure with preventive measures.
