Facilitates user departments and vendors to define the interface requirements and scope. Prepares and recommends technical resource requirements needed to successfully deliver and support assigned projects.

Develop and programs the actual interfaces to/from various applications and/or databases. Works with end users and data center operations to develop appropriate procedures to monitor the interfaces and ensure optimum systems performance.

Develops and monitors testing methodologies and plans designed to demonstrate interface effectiveness. Responsible for updating interface specification documentation, and participates in completing technical documentation, conversion plans and operations training procedures.

Implements issue tracking and resolution as needed during the implementation of integration solutions. Adheres to change control procedures.

Maintains interfaces and evaluates for systems upgrades and performance audits. Works with other staff to seek improvements that will enhance information systems and promote more efficient, cost effective services.

Meets with team regularly for status reporting and information sharing as appropriate. Communications issues between groups in as effort to promote good communication and the efficient and effective resolution of issues.

May complete performance reviews for team members as requested.

Experience/Skills
**PREFER LOCAL CANDIDATES**
Position based in St. Louis, MO
No Sub-Contractor or 1099 need to apply

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

3 years experience analyzing and documenting application and/or interface requirements

3 years experience in client/server computing and application development in a distributed computing environment

Knowledge of some or all of the following protocols: HL7, XML, ANSI X12 and EDI (834, 835, 837), Perl Scripting, XML, Java based development, Mapping

Knowledge of integration engine technologies (Tibco business works/business connect, smartmapper)

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex assignments concurrently

Ability to work with multiple teams on simultaneous projects

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to document process


Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Health Information Management, Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related field.

Three or more years experience developing interfaces in a health care provider environment utilizing an integration engine/message broker application such as Sybase Impact.
