Job description:
This role will be a hands-on software architect who will perform analysis, design, and implementation tasks. The architect will start with the business requirements and high-level domain models supplied by the business analyst, as well as the data model developed by the data architect, and will work with team members to design the system, ensure that the design satisfies enterprise architectural constraints, and implement that system. Existing datasets will be loaded into the new repository, and the system will enable the automated capture and analysis of newly-created data.


Responsibilities for the developer/architect will include:

* Work with the business analyst to understand the domain model and requirements for the system, including dependencies on other systems and tools
* Work with the data architect to understand the data model for the system
* Work with the enterprise architect to ensure that enterprise design constraints are satisfied
* Analyze existing analysis and visualization tools for functionality and potential integration points
* Design system components supporting the requirements and leveraging existing tools and infrastructure
* Implement software realizing the design
* Document the design and implementation for communication and review
* Participate in reviews with enterprise architect and other architecture staff to ensure and review compliance with architectural standards and best practices
* Work with project manager to assess time required to implement work packages
* Work according to project manager*s plan and record time worked
