Sr Java Developer

• Participate in 2 week sprint cycles by writing stories in preparation for sprint, participating in meetings and completing work for sprint
• Day to day development work and updating of tasks
• Responsible for assisting in breaking down task work and estimating hours for tasks
• Technical Analysis & Design as needed to present approach to solving problems within stories.
• Might include visio diagrams, word documents or models as needed.
• Develop and maintain system configuration documentation.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Senior level Java developer with 7+ years experience in enterprise application development primarily in Java and J2EE technologies.
• Junit 3-4 experience is a must
• 1+ year Spring 2.x framework and solid understanding of common patterns/concepts used in a spring based application.
• Solid understanding of IOC (Inversion of Control) and DI (Dependency Injection)
• 6 months JMS experience either via spring or straight JMS
• Solid understanding of design patterns
• Ability to work in a changing, evolving environment and contribute to solving problems.
• 6 months maven 2.x experience in both configuration and usage.
• experience with SVN or other like source code revision control systems, such as, CVS
• experience/understanding of enterprise integration patterns and working with an enterprise service bus.
• ORM tool experience, such as hibernate or JPA.
• Solid understanding of common patterns employed in the development and deployment of a spring based service layer.
• eclipse and/or Netbeans experience
• experience working in a mature Agile Based environment

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• OSGI experience helpful but not required
