Description
Large financial firm is seeking an experienced Java/Middleware developer to join the Enterprise Account Management group Middleware team for hands on development and support work.

The EAM Middleware is a multi-tier system with components written in Core Java running on Linux via Autosys and other custom Start up / Daemon Linux Processes, J2EE (EJB: SLSB and MDB; Web Services) running on WebLogic 8.1, Tibco RV/CM, SQL (UDB and Sybase, mostly UDB), Sockets, and Workflow Engines (Home Grown and Staffware), and other vendor products such as Code 1.

Candidates will be expected to participate in both the development of Core Java and J2EE processes as well as carry a pager and be part of a 24/6 support rotation for Production Support of all regions (Americas, Europe, and Asia). The EAM Middleware team works closely with the EAM GUI team to develop and support the EAM Platform which is used by over 4000 users globally with the firm.

Please note that the MW environment is mostly Core Java based with custom, home grown solutions outside of the J2EE world. Candidates must be expected to be able to work outside of the J2EE framework. Creativity, thinking outside of the box, and being able to implement custom Java based Unix and Linux processes are a MUST for this position.

Candidates MUST have extensive financial services industry experience to be considered for this position.

This is a 12-month contract position with possibility for extension/permanent employment.df-tc
