JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The ideal candidate is one who can perform applied statistical research and custom analysis of integrated healthcare data. He/she will make recommendations based on analytic findings and is responsible for successful delivery of decision-support projects. Project and resource/team management is also expected, along with individual mentoring in support of company objectives. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Applied research and statistical analysis:
1) Delivers analytical solutions in support of healthcare business initiatives that drive short and long term objectives.
2) Manages the analysis and preparation of outcome studies using healthcare claims, pharmacy and lab data.
3) Performs applied research and develops statistical models that answer applied research and business questions for internal and external clients.
4) Conducts periodic updates of analytical routines and department production systems.

-Solutions consulting and decision support
-Project and resource management

SKILL OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Project management and team lead experience.
Healthcare experience required; pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in statistics, economics, mathematics, computer science or related field with 8+ years experience in healthcare analysis, or Master's degree with 5+ years experience in healthcare analysis, or equivalent experience.

ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION
Desired competencies:
- Well-versed in statistical model-building and concepts, decision trees and classification rules, segmentation and cluster analysis. Strong leadership capabilities and skills.
- Ability to collaborate in a matrixed organization with multiple key partners.
- Some clinical background or understanding preferred.
- Understanding & experience in the area of delegation and risk preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, data systems and data warehouses.
- Knowledge of data mining tools.
- Strong SQL and SAS programming skills (e.g., SAS Base, SAS STAT, SAS Macros).
- Ability to communicate statistical ideas and measures to non-technical and business management teams/ clients.df-tc
