Description
We are seeking a Sr Linux Administrator for a contract position in the San Diego metro area. This person will be handling various Linux Server admin and design duties. Primary infrastructure support will involve Perforce source control system as well as the software development build server infrastructure. We're looking for someone that can help design and build a cutting edge, scalable, high performing source control environment that spans the globe.

Responsibilities include:
* Work with existing Perforce team to support and maintain global Perforce environment.
* Design future Hardware, OS, and application performance improvement strategy/roadmap for Perforce
* Work with engineering teams to design Linux desktop roadmap and strategy.
* Support existing Linux build server environment.

Skills/Experience:
- Linux Systems Administration experience (5-10 years)
- Linux experience required; SUSE/SLES experience preferred
- RAID direct attach storage experience required
- SAN/NAS experience required
- HA Cluster technologies (Sun Cluster,Veritas) experience preferred
- LAN/WAN troubleshooting experience preferred
- Ability to read/maintain/debug shell scripts (perl,ksh,sh) required
- Excellent customer service skills a must.

Additional Skills:
- Experience supporting software configuration mgmt tools desired(Source control, build environment)
- Experience with source control applications methodology and terminology highly desirable
- Grid computing experience highly desirable (LSF, Ecloud)
- Data Center operations experience highly desirable
- Enterprise level Windows administration a plus
- Experience with GNU Make, C, C++, highly desirable

Education Requirements: Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent experience.df-tc
