Job Summary

Sr. Manager, Technology within the Business and IT Strategy Center of Excellence (COE) provides leadership and mentoring to teams delivering IT Strategy related projects including Enterprise Architecture Planning, Application Portfolio Planning, Project Portfolio Planning and IT Governance Planning. Additionally, this role provides thought leadership that contributes to growing Sapient?s overall Business and IT Strategy capabilities and market share, including white papers, training material, reusable toolkits and sales collateral.

Key responsibilities include guiding the design, user interface, and technology integration of projects, interfacing with client's technology and management teams, and gathering information on enterprise-wide trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advises C-level clients based on knowledge of and experience with IT strategy and enterprise architecture
  • Facilitates strategy workshop sessions
  • Helps clients align technology goals to business objectives
  • Leads teams throughout IT Strategy engagements
  • Participates in sales pursuits as a subject matter expert (SME)
  • Establishes project approaches and mid-level plans
  • Provides guidance to multiple concurrent IT Strategy projects across diverse business domains
  • Promotes Sapient?s Business and IT Strategy capabilities across internal business units
  • Educates Sapient teams on IT Strategy sales and execution
  • Shares knowledge of industry frameworks and methodologies

    Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or related field required
  • 6-8 years experience in enterprise architecture, systems integration, package implementation
  • Familiarity with cost benefit analysis techniques
  • Familiarity with industry frameworks and methodologies including Zachman, TOGAF and FEAF (certification in one of these a plus)
  • Prior experience in a consulting firm preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively advise senior clients and promote Sapient Business and IT Strategy services internally and externally
  • Experience providing a vision to the total solution, managing a track of work and defining a comprehensive solution leading toward a common vision
  • Strong visual, written and verbal communication skills
  • Frequent travel is required
