EuroNav Level 3 Support Job Description

REQUIRED:

• Experienced in developing, supporting, and implementing Navision version 4.0
• C-Side, C/AL (Microsoft Certified Navision Developer)
• SQL (Standard Query Language) skills and ability to understand data relational models
• Ability to understand basic software implementation life cycle concepts
• Ability to learn Business Intelligence concepts and technologies
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Good communication skills and a friendly empathetic demeanor
• Strong written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills
• Ability to work alone or in a team environment

PREFERRED:

• Bachelors degree
• Experience with supporting/implementing the Alpha Landsteiner ( now K3 ) Retail Navision solution
• Experience with Navision Warehouse Management System (WMS) module
• Experience with the Navision Application Scheduler (NAS) and/or Data Director
• Experience with a variety of development methodologies (ie .NET, VB, SQL, etc)
• Experience in Visual Basic, C , Scripting languages, coupled with a strong emphasis on object-oriented design and implementation is preferred
• Experience with Business Intelligence concepts and systems and SSRS reports

Provide development and support for the rollout of the European Navision System (EuroNAV) supporting business in Europe in 2008 and Australia and Canada in 2009. NO travel is required.

The key skill set is configuring, implementing, developing and/or supporting a Microsoft Navision environment including but not limited to:

• Configuration, documentation and support of all current and future Navision Systems.
• Make suggestions to management, based on current and emerging technologies, on methods to reduce costs, improve performance and availability, and reduce administration time for the Navision systems.
• Research, test, and apply all applicable patches.
• Learn and support the existing platforms and understand company development methodologies & technologies.

There will be an on call rotation where you will be on call perhaps 1 week in 5. However, the on call support is Tier 2 and primarily for the batch cycle which executes from around 5PM US CST to 10PM. There is a team in Europe on Tier 1 support and the team in Grapevine will focus on product development and escalated issues.
