Performance Profile:
The Senior Manager will be a member of the practice leadership team responsible for providing project and team leadership and business and practice development


The Senior Manager should demonstrate strong client and team management skills, good project management skills, deep industry knowledge and have a track record of high performance

The Senior Manager would routinely play an active role in identifying a business opportunity, articulating the opportunity to the client and developing the business proposal. Once a client agreed to proceed, the Senior Manager would take responsibility for organizing the contract negotiation process and the engagement start up activities within BearingPoint. The Senior Manger would play an instrumental part in assembling the appropriate resources to configure the team for success and profitability. Once the project we ready to kickoff, the Senior Manager would be primarily responsible for developing and executing the project plan including managing the financials associated with the project. The Senior Manager would be responsible for client management and the oversight to keep the project on track and managing the resources to make sure the client deliverables are high quality and produced on time as well as an project issue resolution. The Senior Manager is also responsible for working with the team to identify expanded business opportunities within the client and follow on work to the project.

The Senior Manager will participate in business development opportunities as well as work with the Managing Director and the rest of the team to determine the key messages to client to optimally position the practice to grow and to take advantage of the market opportunities

The Senior Manager should be an individual that can lead client interactions independently and establish enduring relationships with customers based on trust and performance that lead to practice growth and to work that can be openly referenced to other internal and external cients.


The Senior Manager will function as a role model for the team both through direct management of team members and through idea generation that propels the practice forward. The expectation is the Senior Manager will be highly conversant relative to the Life Sciences industry and the overall healthcare industry and will be intellectually curious relative to the industry and use their industry knowledge to enhance the overall knowledge of the Life Sciences practice. Additionally the expectation is the Senior Manager will be able to apply their general and industry knowledge and experience in a manner that will grow the business and enhance the reputation of the practice.

Position-specific Requirements:
Ten years experience consulting to Life Sciences Commercial Operations or working in a Life Sciences Commercial Operations function
Ability to travel 80% (dependent on project location)
