PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Sr. Production Consultant in Document Publishing manages the production of complex and high-level Retirement Plan Services (RPS) marketing communication account materials, including new designs, revisions, and reprints that communicate to existing or potential shareholders. This position assists the RPS Print Supervisor in training new associates, creating presentations, and acting as the subject matter expert in production processes.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Manages entire Retirement Plan Services (RPS) production process for complex and high-level RPS accounts. Serves as main point of contact for Account Services, Communications Consultants, Design, Document Publishing, and Vendors. Manage communications, expectations, and production timelines for all parties involved.
* Creating and processing Purchase Orders through Oracle and Noosh with detailed production instructions for vendors. Approve invoices for payment in a timely manner.
* Reviews vendor proofs and performs press inspections to ensure color accuracy to approved project materials.
Communication/Training – responds to inquiries and follows up on special projects and other duties as needed for high-level accounts and complex assignments.
* Serves as back-up to the supervisor as needed. Serves as Production SME for Document Publishing. Assists Supervisor with new associate training and team problem-solving from within Document Publishing and other client departments. Serves as a primary resource and act as mentor for rest of RPS team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

College degree with 5 years of project experience in the area of print management preferred
Three to five years experience managing customer relationships and suppliers preferred
Expert in the areas of 4-color print techniques and project management preferred
Knowledge of pre-press preferred
Certified Purchasing Manager preferred
Manufacturing and buy-side experience preferred
Strong preference for related system development and implementation preferred.
Print and mail management systems experience preferred
Procurement system experience preferred
Inventory management experience preferred
Experience communicating and working with external clients and vendors
Excellent verbal and written communication skills especially with different levels within the organization
Excellent negotiation skills
Ability to resolve problems and manage conflict resolution
Knowledge of US Postal Regulations and Merlin
Strong experience managing offset print production
Strong knowledge or experience in Digital Print or Print on Demand
Knowledge of invoice and billing procedures
Excellent computer skills with the ability to learn new systems
Proven ability to manage multiple projects
Strong work ethic and high level of integrity
Highly-motivated team player
Leadership skills – take the lead and direct team on new projects
Willingness to participate in training opportunities for the firm

Ability to travel
College degree and 2 years of related work experience, or Associate degree and 4 years related work experience, or High School diploma/equivalent and 6 years related work experience required
