Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment is looking for a Senior Programmer/Analyst (Requisition ID 147452)

The Senior Programmer/Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing and delivering Business Intelligence solutions to the Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment (WDSHE) community. This role is responsible for creating a robust, sustainable data warehouse and business intelligence solution.The BI Developer will support existing and future requirements in a rapidly evolving environment, working with other key members of the BVWHE BI team.


Primary Contributions / Day to Day Accountabilities:


Supports ETL, queries and reports and their schedules, and data-related maintenance procedures across multiple landscapes and technologies within the WDSHE Business Intelligence Solution (Lights-on);
Plan, analyze, design and develop new business solutions based upon the requirements of our Business/IT Communities (New Business Initiatives);
Plan, Develop, and implement data an information architecture for existing BI environments (New Technical Infrastructure Initiatives);
Assesses and manages requests for changes and prioritizes work within individual’s areas of responsibilities in accordance with business and departmental priorities. (Change Management);


Qualifications:

The qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

5+ years of hands-on Data Warehouse analysis, design and maintenance skills for large scale data warehouses
5+ years of hands-on BI Tools and technologies experience required, specifically Microstrategy
5+ years of strong SQL, logical and physical database design, and implementation experience to include performance tuning techniques for all technical aspects of a business intelligence and reporting solution.
5+ years hands-on experience in the usage of Informatica as an ETL tool.Experience in PowerCenter.
2+ years of hands-on experience in MS Visual Basic .Net.
Exceptional analysis and problem solving skills
Advance verbal, written communications and presentation skills with an emphasis on being able to build business and technical requirements, present technical topics in an easy to understand way for non-technical customers
Strong partnering skills and a service leadership mindset are required
Bachelor’s degree with concentration in IT or business related field or equivalent experience

Others:


Superior knowledge of BI technology trends and best practices
Knowledge of SAP ERP experience is a plus
Experience in AS400, DB2 is a plus.
Informatica’s Connect for SAP R/3 is a plus.
Knowledge and experience in the retail and financial environment is a plus
