Description
The Walt Disney Studios encompasses the creation, production, promotion, sales, acquisition and domestic and international distribution of live-action and animated motion pictures, television programs, videocassette and DVD releases, live stage plays and music soundtrack recordings.

We currently have an exciting and challenging opening for a Senior Programmer Analyst to join our team at our Burbank California facility.

The Senior Programmer Analyst will work with a mid-size, close-knit team to design, implement, and maintain information systems and analytical tools to assist in a variety of functions for an assortment of business units within the Walt Disney Studios.


This individual will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and support of C# applications in a .NET environment designed to support various departments within the Walt Disney Studios.This individual will be responsible for development of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.

The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of the positive business impact of production quality information systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing challenging technical projects from inception to completion
  • Must be organized and capable of tracking, managing, and resolving many issues simultaneously
  • Superior judgment, problem resolution, team building, and decision-making skills as well as the ability to work under deadline pressure
  • Design and develop information systems in an object oriented design environment
  • Perform analysis of system and business requirements as it relates to system design
  • Maintain a productive and constructive working relationship with business unit customers
  • Operate as a critical and indispensable part of a team

    Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years experience with MS Visual Studio C#.NET, ASP.NET, or VB.NET, service oriented architecture

  • 8 or more years experience in strategic object oriented software design with significant proven experience in the design and development of Production Quality Information Systems; analysis of systems and business requirements; software design and development implementing the concepts of polymorphism, componentization, business rules separation, n-Tier architecture, and application workflow hierarchies

  • 5 or more years experience with MS SQL Server and/or Sybase Adaptive Server, skill in using computer aided software engineering tools, MS Windows Forms and Web-based application development and operational knowledge of server and desktop hardware, networks and system hosting requirements
  • Microsoft Project and MS Project Server a plus
  • Demonstrated positive written and verbal communication skills with customers and staff
  • Proven ability to meet project milestones and customer expectations
  • Must posses the qualities of a detail oriented, calm, and reassuring under pressure team player
    · Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering required; advanced degree preferred
