Ensures that all projects are managed thoroughly and in a detailed manner, including managing all facets of project assessment, development and implementation.
Vendor selection, vendor management and contract negotiations
Responsible for both automation projects as well as process re-engineering projects
Responsible for managing the vendor relationships as well as the internal customers. This includes senior management and numerous client working group forums.
Responsible for project budget definition, tracking and allocation of expenses to business units
Responsible for department budget definition, forecasting and variance reporting.
Responsible for developing full financial business cases for project approval.df-tc

Experience/Skills
Requirements:

7+ years of project management experience
5+ years in management role
4-year degree
This position is responsible for leveraging systems and technology to enhance the business performance as it relates to cost, quality and risk.
Understanding of various platforms preferred (i.e. mainframe, client server, web)
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to meet and interact with all levels of management including faciliation and presentation experience with senior management
Must have a proven track record in vendor management
Must have a proven track record in project management as well as management, including requirements gathering, scope management, budget tracking and status reporting
Must have experience with managing a team of resources that do not have a direct reporting relationship (both
business and technology representatives)
Must have strong relationship building and leadership skills
Must be proficient with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and other office automation software
