Position Summary
As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer in the Advertising Systems group you will be working with a talented team extensively involved in both the technology and business of serving large scale on-line advertisements The Walt Disney Company's properties, including Disney.com, ESPN.com, ABCNEWS.com, Movies.com and others. Primary areas of responsibility will focus on quality and accuracy of advertising management and delivery in web-based, mobile, and video environments. Reporting to the Engineering Manager of Advertising Systems, you will work closely with software developers in all phases of the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities will also include:

  • Test Plan development
  • Front and back end white box testing
  • Automated testing strategies
  • Load testing facilitation
  • Requirements and Functional Specifications review
  • Some troubleshooting

    Required Qualifications

  • Comprehensive understanding of the software QA engineering process
  • 6+ years of QA testing experience, with at least 3 years experience testing web-based applications and database applications
  • Strong ability to define and write test cases
  • Demonstrable experience defining and implementing repeatable testing frameworks
  • Ability to anticipate, identify and articulate problem areas and develop preventative solutions
  • Work with a high degree of independence on projects with little or no precedence
  • Proven experience in identifying the relationship of bugs to software code
  • Desire to drive quality practices
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in field

  • Experience with Java Application Servers (JSP, Servlets)
  • Experience with Databases/SQL
  • Experience with Defect Tracking tools
  • Experience with Internet Protocols (e.g. HTTP)
  • Experience with Load Testing tools and practicesdf-tc
