We have an opportunity for a Software Quality Engineer to help design and execute test plans and cases for an enterprise classed n-tiered distributed application. Description of DutiesReporting to QA Manager, develop new and execute legacy test plans and test procedures as required.Document test results and provide status reports on a weekly basis.Actively participate in test automation efforts. Participate in product design reviews. Experience Required3 - 7 years of testing enterprise-class, distributed software.Power-user level with LINUX, Oracle, Perl or other scripting/programming languages, Internet infrastructure, Windows Clients Testing two of the following: VOIP, ACD, telephony applications, Email or Web Chat application.Hands-on in developing and executing functional and system-level test plans and procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skill. Great attention to detail.Proven track record of consistently making deliverables under limited supervision. Hands-on with defect tracking system and defect lifecycle, Clear Quest preferred.. Experience PreferredTesting large-scale Java-based multi-tiered applications. Exposure to Contact Center, Call Center, telephony products, internetworking and Web application development. API and GUI-level test automation Education RequiredBS in Computer Science/System Engineering/EE/Math or Physics The NuContact Center is a multimedia contact distribution system designed to route and queue voice, e-mail and Web contacts on a single platform. The end-to-end IP-based system consolidates the routing of customer phone calls, e-mails, and web contacts for improved customer service and contact handling. By delivering voice communications over the corporate data network, along with e-mail and Web contacts, the NuContact Center eliminates the high cost and administrative burden of maintaining both telephony and data networks for the call center application. By combining the distribution of voice, e-mail and Web contacts (Web chat and co-browsing sessions) on a single platform, the NuContact Center can route e-mail and Web contacts with the same efficiencies achieved for voice calls in the past. This contract position is expected to last into 2006.
