JOB TITLE: Sr. Systems Engineer
Location: Venice Beach, CA
Duration: Full Time/Permanent

This exciting and dynamic position promotes Networking and Storage technologies throughout the sales cycle.
The primary role of the Sr. Systems Engineer is to support a team of Sales Representatives for our client in Southern California.
This person will act as the technical liaison between the customers, prospects, sales department and our vendors.
This individual will provide technical expertise in analyzing customer=E2=80=99s requirements, recommending solutions and assisting the sales department and other engineers with the development of proposals, quotations and presentations.
This individual will be responsible for the technical sales cycle and will work closely with the sales people to close business.

Salary Range: $140-$160K

Job Requirements and Responsibilities

Must have extensive knowledgeable of either Networking or Storage.

Experience with Juniper or Network Appliance is a HUGE plus.

Must be a driven, self-motivated individual that requires little direction.

Must have extensive experience as pre-sales engineer. This person needs to be a pre-sales expert and will engage the sales force in pre-sales and post-sales opportunities.

Assist the Sales team with Pre-Sales and Post-Sales opportunities.

Provide relevant pre-sales information to the Engineering/Installation team for implementation of a designed solution.

Will assist in the delivery of support and services to customers as needed.

Be the resident expert on either networking or storage technologies.

Build virtual teams of expertise by leveraging internal and external resources.

Maintain close relationships with the Vendor teams

Facilitate and conduct product demonstrations, webinars and presentations to customers.

Be proficient in conducting architecture chalk talks and design concepts.

Read, interpret, and assist the sales team with requests for bids/proposals.

Have excellent communication skills including technical writing skills and will assist sales with Requests for Quotes/Information.

Create Build-of-Material (BOM=E2=80=99s) and Visio=E2=80=99s for proposals of the solutions.

Assist with Statements of Work (SOW=E2=80=99s) for proposals and installations.

Internal

Reports to Director of Networking or Storage (depending on background)

Frequent interaction with other professional services and sales employees.

Occasional contact with corporate management.
