Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Technical Marketing Writer to work with internal stakeholders to develop, write and edit all outbound documentation for products in the emerging wireless e-mail and PIM market.

In this position, the writer will be responsible for all market-facing documents such as white papers, case studies and data sheets as well as user-oriented documentation focused on helping customers get up and running on Visto?s wireless solutions. Additionally, the senior technical marketing writer is responsible for on-line help/content for all electronic documentation.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that can handle deadlines and crunch periods and enjoy working with a variety of diverse personalities.


Specific Responsibilities:
* Write and edit a wide variety of outbound marketing materials as well as device, installation and troubleshooting documentation for end users
* Develop and write UI Text, contextual help, Wizards, and Web content for on-line documentation
* Work with key members of the marketing, user interface, and documentation teams to develop, manage and edit content from initial requirements to completion
* Maintain the glossary of terms, ensures that all end user-facing material is consistent and adheres to the glossary

Educational Requirements:
? BA/BS and/or equivalent work experience



Skills & Required Experience:
* More than 10 years previous experience writing both marketing collateral (white papers, data sheets, user profiles, etc.) and technical publications for the software development/wireless/information technology industries
* Ability to perform all phases of document development, including planning, research, writing, reviewing, editing and publishing to multiple formats
* The ability to quickly synthesize complex issues and technologies and effectively communicate to a variety of external audiences
* Superb skills to clearly and effectively communicate information to both a consumer and business audience
* Sufficient technical knowledge and confidence to be independent in developing materials and using appropriate resources
* Ability to work on multiple projects, while maintaining high quality and delivering end products on time
* Expertise using tools such as Framemaker, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe?s software suite and on-line help applications
* A portfolio of writing samples is required

Bonus Points for:
* Previous managerial experience
* Experience in the wireless industry
* HTML skills/and or experience using Web site technology desired
