Seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a fast-paced Unix Development team in Kansas City. Your work will have a direct impact in helping us remain the leader in online advertising technologies. Specifically, you will work on developing server-side technologies to make advertising more effective.

Our business model revolves around creating customized advertisements for online consumers in real time. Each day, we run more than 6 billion calculations to determine how to pair thousands of advertisements with specific consumer preferences to maximize consumer response. We're currently delivering more than 5,000,000 customized advertisements to online consumers through our CustomAd? technology.

In this exciting position, you'll remain focused on bringing CustomAd? to the next level.


Senior Software Engineer position will be charged with:

Implementing enhancements and new modules to the existing system.

Integrating new methods, technologies, and offerings into an existing architecture.

Technical quality-enhancement and optimization.

Writing queries for web based reporting.

Experience/Skills
Seeking a senior level, hands-on professional with the following qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
7+ years of C development experience.
5+ years developing in a UNIX environment.
3+ years of non-academic Perl development.
2+ years of UNIX scripting (ksh, awk, etc.).
2+ years non-academic SQL development with any DBMS, Oracle preferred.
Experience translating requirements into solutions.

In addition to skill sets, this individual should:

1. Not be averse to working sixty (60) hour weeks (a typical work day from 8:00 - 7:30 pm);
2. Be hands-on and capable of executing rapidly as an individual in addition to a manager;
3. Enjoy rapid change within a small, entrepreneurial, technology-driven culture;
4. Have a superior business intellect in addition to a legal intellect.
