Description
A leading Application Service Provider is looking for a very Senior level Architect to take responsiblity for the initial design and development of a new architecture, based on business and technical requirements, in order to bring the company's latest generation of products to the next level. This person will use their extensive knowledge of OO design and web based commerical applications to deliver the next generation of product for this company. They currently have 2 products and would like to build a common interface, using your EAI expertise, between the two products. They also want to take their reporting capabilites to the next level with your expertise on the backend. You will also mentor 10-15 other developers.

They are looking for someone with at least a Masters degree in Computer Science or related field and 10-15 years of experience. Would really like someone who has experience within as ASP.

What follows is their ideal candidate according to the hiring Manager:


Principal Duties and Responsibilities: (1) Define product technical vision and execute on making a reality. (2) Drives key technical decisions and direction for the product. (3) Accountable for success of technical direction. (4) Works closely with CTO, VP Strategy and other Senior Management. (5) Writes technical specifications. (6) Mentors and leads engineers on vision and coding of functionality. (7) Hands on role in building functionality by participating in coding, code and documentation reviews, performance and scalability evaluation. (8) Balance the demands of the business with executing to the technical vision. Other Position Requirements: (1) Excellent verbal and written skills. (2) Capable of motivating others to a high level of productivity. (3) Proven skills with interacting with analyst and customers. (4) Experience managing off-shore development teams and hybrid developer situations

Desired Qualifications: (1) 5-10 years experience in full life cycle, software development and design. (2) 5 years with developing and designing enterprise solutions based around ASP / shared tenant software delivery and the integration/coordination of complex data models. (3) Current skills with Java and Web based technologies (i.e. J2EE, JMS, XML, etc.) (4) Proven expert in query-based data visualization (5) 3 to 5 years experience with leading a team of senior level development engineers. (6) Strong process and quality orientation, including understanding of the full software development life cycle required. Experience with formal software development methodologies such as the Unified Process or UML / Rational Rose important.

Qualification : M. Tech. Computer Science. (preferably PhD)
Minimum 6+ years experience
Solid US exposure (at least 3 years) + off-shore exposure beneficial
Strong on C++, EAI / Middleware including ETL, wrappers, etc.
Strong on MQ Series and Messaging (real-time data synchronization requirements)
Good knowledge and exposure to portals, directory servers, and network identity preferred. Exposure to content management systems, search engines and business intelligence components is regarded highly.
Capable of performing as a technical lead from business requirements gathering, to architecture, to implementation and delivery.
Data Warehouse / ROLAP / OLAP experience
Business intelligence and data visualization experince
Solid experience in architecture designing.
Understand complex data-structures
Multi-dimensional tree Balance a tree & rotation/B-Trees/Avial Trees/M-Trees
Multi-Database Query optimization knowledge
Performance tuning and optimization
Large scale C/C++ / EAI / XML skills
