Description
One of our Nashville, TN-based healthcare client's is searching for a candidate to fulfill the role of Senior Application Analyst. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing system strategies, conducting business needs analyses, identifying and mitigating project risks, supporting the applications users and assisting in the implementation of Horizon Patient Folder, Horizon Patient Folder Analytics, and Imaging Link Engine. The overall responsibility of the Sr. Application Analyst, HIM is to provide functional support, design, instruction, oversight and guidance of HIM applications.

Experience/Skills
To qualify for consideration for this position, you must meet or exceed the following:

  • A 4-year degree, preferably in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or Healthcare or equivalent, related work experience.
  • 5+ years experience in HIM functions with McKesson application experience preferred.
  • Expertise in at least two HIM modules/applications as a super user or IT&S analyst.
  • Proven ability to understand business and financial issues and objectives as well as the ability to translate them into application solutions.
  • Proven project manager of medium to large projects of 4-8 team members, with experience managing functional items such as: Standard work breakdown structure;
  • Resources and critical path; Project scope; Issues identification and oversight; Change control processes.
  • Basic understanding in the areas of application architecture, database and system design, Internet, Intranet and client/server architectures.
  • Excellent communication skills.


Experience preferred with the following McKesson Star or Horizon products:
  • Horizon Patient Folder
  • Horizon Business Folder
  • Image Link Engine
  • Pathways Scheduling
  • McKesson Star suite
  • Willingness to participates in and support on-call rotation.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
