Current Project Description:

The immediate resource need is for an application called FFX (Fee and Foreign Exchange). It's consists of a web application used by the Costa Rica call center to make bi-weekly outbound calls to money transfer agents in the US-Mexico corridor. This part of the application is in production and does well. One problem however is that we need to be able to scale to other call centers and other corridors. To prepare for scaling, we are building a Smart Client data management console that will be the data entry point as well as the call scheduler and call queue builder. The technical environment includes .NET 2.0, C#, WF foundation, XAML, Smart Client, SQL Server 2000/2005, SSRS, and Infragistics.

Sr. Application Architect

The Sr. Application Architect will design and develop applications with the full suite of Microsoft development technologies. The technical day-to-day duties of the position are to code, but also include leading developers in the design and implementation of projects, mentoring junior team members, and consulting with senior management on technical solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding and working knowledge of the latest .NET 3.0 framework, foundation libraries, WPF, WF, WCF, XAML, and concepts for developing Window Vista applications. This candidate will have Smart Client development in their past.

Candidate Business Requirements:

Proven ability to work with the customer to identify appropriate technical solutions for business needs

Support existing business systems applications as well as design and implement enterprise level replacement solutions

Understand all functional areas in an IT organization and be able to work independently with them.

Be willing to share subject matter expertise with the team

Be a strong proponent for Test Driven Development

Deliver working code on an iterative schedule

Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience

Candidate Technical Requirements:

8+ yrs of technical IT experience

5+ yrs - .NET technologies

=E2=80=93 ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, Web Services, Windows Services, Windows Forms applications

5+ yrs - MS SQL Server development (2000, 2005)

1+ yr WPF and WCF

1+ yr Analysis Services

1+ yr Biztalk Server (2004, 2006)

Duties: Architect and lead the development of an n-tiered distributed system to support existing applications. Developed UML design documents to define a new distributed system using .NET 3.0 and WCF. SOA methods were implemented to allow components to easily evolve. The design included server fail-over, redundancy and durable queues to guarantee reliability.

Architect and build the communications layers to support various distributed applications. Web Service interfaces were developed to support External Consumers. A high-speed communication layer was built to support internal client applications. This high-speed communications layer was built using .Net Remoting that supported TCP channels and binary data marshalling. WCF client and server communications were developed to support internal applications and external consumers.

Architect and build an Enterprise Service Bus. The Enterprise Service Bus was designed using the Service Oriented Architecture design pattern.
The simple interfaces were published using WSDL files.df-tc
