Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Application Configuration Engineer. The successful candidate will have a track record of having performed as a hands-on technical lead for the Siebel application configuration and development activities. As the Siebel technical SME, this individual will actively: (1) participate in and create design and technical specifications documents; (2) participate in configuration and development activities; (3) mentor junior team members to enable cross-training of Siebel functionality in other modules; (4) lead development effort of customizing use of Siebel tools. This individual is responsible for requirements review and definition, design/technical specifications, development, configuration, testing and deployment of application enhancements as approved by management. This individual will ensure that proper procedures are maintained in change control during all testing of new customization and during hotpack updates or software version updates. The candidate will perform Siebel development activities with respect to configuration, scripting and building integration object with other systems and providing technical lead expertise. Performs design and prototyping of Siebel applications. Develops eScript and Java Script, designs/configures integration objects business services workflows and VBCs. Leads integration testing activities and bug fixing.Will perform checkpoint reviews and provides documentation on Siebel requirements, Gap Analysis, Siebel configuration/customization integration, test scripts. Programs custom code/adapters used for interfaces and data conversion. Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent required, Strong data model/Siebel architecture knowledge. Must have strong technical hands-on knowledge of Siebel Application/Tools in general. In-depth knowledge of: Siebel Analytics data model, Designing Star and Snowflake schemas, Building customized Star schemas. Very good understanding of Siebel Analytics development best practices and Analytics Architecture. 6+ years experience with Siebel Applications (Marketing, Campaign, UCM, Analytics, etc.). Siebel eBusiness Applications Certification (7.5 or higher). Candidate must have Strong Application Configuration experience in Siebel Marketing, Campaign, Business Analytics. Strong understanding of Business Analytics dashboards (Marketing, Campaign Service) configuring report level security metadata tools and user interface designs. Strong knowledge of Siebel Business Service/Integration Objects/EIM/Workflow. Strong understanding of Siebel EAI and its capabilities to integrate w/ other systems (client server mainframe web). Strong configuration experience using Siebel tools, Analytics Dashboards Answers, Metadata tools, ETL tools such as Informatica. Strong ETL (Informatica) and business analytical skills and the ability to understand business needs for analytical reporting and the ability to translate business needs to a logical dimensional model and production support (data related or deployment/infrastructure related). Experience in leading and mentoring technical professionals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exposure to EAI and MQ Series and Financial Industry Background.
