Zycron is currently looking for an energetic individual with experience as a technical or project leader on large projects to work in Nashville, TN as a Senior Application Engineer.This candidate must provide technical skills that cover a broad range of disciplines and/or a particular technical dicipline that is of significance to HCA. The Engineer will perform any technical project assigned with minimal supervision. Identify, investigate, evaluate and become proficient in new technologies and technical disciplines that are of significance to HCA Healthcare. The specific responsibilities for this candidate will include installation of software products on various hardware platforms, operating system installation and customization where applicable, troubleshoot, coordinate, assist and advise in recovery from component failure of supported systems. It also includes best of breed technology evaluation and the ability to perform product and system benchmarks.The Application Engineer must have in depth knowledge of supported operating sysem, utilities, vendor products, applicable programming languages, diagnostic techniques, database management systems, benchmarking methodologies, applicable communications protocols, applicable hardware configuations, use of statistical and analytical tools for system monitoring and evaluation.The candidate must have in depth knowledge of technology, network, data and applications architectures; as well as be able to interact with and provide technical direction for end user departments and for other department employees and contractors.Required Skill Sets:Microsoft Certified EngineerNT/ Win 2000Server hardwareServer configurationsNetwork componentsNetwork topologiesSecurityActive directoryInternet
