Our client, located in Bergen County, NJ is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with knowledge of the insurance industry, preferably Casualty Claims Management. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years in IT and at least 2 years experience as a Business Analyst. Insurance industry experience is required to be considered for this role.Responsibilities: ~Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. ~Creates and maintains detailed documentation for new e.enablement functionality.~Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. ~Meets with third parties to understand capabilities. ~Determines business requirements.~Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify Applications.~Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. ~Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. ~Performs a variety of tasks related to Application Development and Management.~Provides consultation on complex projects.~Assists the Manager of the Team with various Project Management and General Tasks~Requires a bachelor's degree (BS or BA) preferably in MIS field or equivalent experience.~Knowledge~Requires a bachelor's degree (BS or BA) preferably in MIS field or equivalent experience.~Knowledge of the insurance industry, preferably Casualty Claims Management ~At least 6 years of experience in the IT field or in a related area. ~At least 2 years of experience in Business Analyst or related capacity.~Excellent communication skills.~Excellent writing skills.`Excellent interpersonal skills. ~Excellent coordination skills.~A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. ~Knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures used for Business Requirements gathering process`Knowledge of MS-Office (MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Access) and other tools such as MS-Project and MS-Visio~Knowledge of Relational databases. ~Knowledge of various requirements management tools (UML, Rational Rose, Caliber-RM, CASE tools etc)~Knowledge of IBM iSeries Platform (Midrange IBM AS/400)*Client is not offering relocation for this position so local candidates are strongly preferred. *Client is located in an area that is not accessible via public transportation;You may apply directly with ?id=3709303df-tc
