Sr. Business Systems Analyst (Oracle)Location: Aliso Viejo, CA Primary Purpose:To ensure financial data accuracy and consistency across all business areas and to improve business processes leveraging the functionality of all applications the Finance department utilizes.Essential Responsibilities:* Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates system specifications to parallel overall business strategies. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.* Proposes solutions that turn business requirements into innovative, global system solutions.* Negotiate scope and implementation schedules with business owners.* Engages all relevant business units through the life of a project by keeping all parties informed, and by gathering feedback from all parties. Represents the Finance department to other functional teams for systems integration.* Interacts closely with the Oracle Applications technical staff to insure that the solution developed by the technical staff meets the business needs. This will take place at all stages of a project, including scope, project plan design, and post project evaluation.* Works closely with the business units to develop test scripts and will insure that the scripts exercise the relevant system functionality. Creates standards for information maintenance and terminology definitions.* Explains new functionality to business owners and how to best use the new functionality. Ascertains the relevance of the new functionality for all business units and will train the staff in the proper use of the new functionality.* Analyst will be a resource to the Oracle Apps technical staff by helping the staff better understand the business processes.Desired Minimum Qualifications:Education: Experience equivalent to a 4-year college education with an emphasis in business or management systems. Experience:Requires an additional 6-8 years of related experience working related field. Technical Knowledge: Strong CRM and ERP(Oracle Financials background is a MUST) systems background. Up-to-date knowledge of current business practices surrounding application development and deployment. Strong analytical ability. Excellent technical writing for training and policy/procedure documentation. Ability to create and efficiently monitor project plans in line with business goals and objectives. Communication/Interpersonal Skills: Highly motivated, ethical performer with strong leadership and teambuilding skills. Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and platform communciation skills.
