OVERVIEW:
CADD Draftsman
Job Description

Position Requirements:
Degree in Computer Aided Design Drafting with minimum 5 years related experience. Experience and expertise with 2D AutoCad Software. Experience with 3D modeling software preferred. Occasional local but little or no out of town travel.

Reporting:
The CADD Draftsman reports directly to the VP of Architectural Services.

Measurable Goals:
1. To be recognized as a team player within the design core specialty services group and the company, consistently working to support the objectives of both the design group and the client in a way that promotes META's initiative to be the premier provider of comprehensive program management services.
2. To consistently receive positive feedback from META’s designers and the design services specialty core services group and contribute to the successful design on META’s projects thus creating value to the client.
3. To frequently exceed the expectations of the designer and the UP design services core specialty group.
4. To assist META in developing new business by presenting META’s design work in a consistently clear and professional manner.
5. To assist and support the project manager in the completion of projects on time, and on budget.

Primary Role:
The VP of supervises the CAD Draftsman. He is an integral member of the META Program Management Team, with primary responsibility to provide support for META’s in-house Project Architects and Facility Planners, by preparing CAD presentation drawings that formalize their work.

Experience/Skills
Responsibilities:

Drafting and plotting of all META CAD documents.
Square footage take-offs and area calculations of existing and proposed plans.
Site Plan layouts and related calculations.
Measurement and documentation of existing conditions when required.
Interface with consulting A/E firms regarding CAD documents.
Ensure plotting and printing equipment is maintained and supplies are stocked.


Project Team relations
The CAD Draftsman should support META’s in-house Planning, Design, and Project Management teams, with all CAD related needs.

Client relations
The nature of the CAD Draftsman position sometimes places him in a position to interact with other firms and consultants serving META managed projects. As an owner’s representative, he should be responsive and cooperative with those members of the overall project team.
