We have an immediate need for a Sr. COBOL Programmer/Analyst.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Seeking a Sr. Programmer/Analyst with strong Mainframe/COBOL programming skills to support premier auto industry client. Seeking a candidate with over 10 years mainframe IS experience with excellent skills in project methodology (preferably RAD) and project full life cycle experience including post implementation warranty. The ideal candidate will have some exposure, experience or knowledge in .NET.

RESPONSIBILITES:
- Development and coding of applications in the mainframe environment working with COBOL, CICS, MVS, JCL, DB2, SQL, QMF, Xpeditor.
- Data modeling, detailed analysis and design, development, integration/systems/UAT
- Test plan preparation for testing of systems, applications and functionality.
- Issue resolution, applications maintenance and trouble shooting.
- Documentation.
- Implementation of applications.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Should be an expert in COBOL 370, MVS JCL, DB2, CICS, SQL, QMF,
Xpeditor.
- Experience with DB2 stored procedures and with ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET,
XML, XSLT will be a plus.
- Excellent communication skills required, both verbal and written
(must provide samples of documentation).
- Should be results oriented. High quality, speed and reliability of
work along with dependability.
- Must be able to work in a dynamically changing environment, as part
of a team and with minimal direction.
- Auto Sales & Distribution knowledge a plus.
