Description
In this position, you will manage client relationships, conduct client meetings, allocate work to team members, and assist in developing communication strategies. Manage work process (concept, write, edit, design, and production). Supervise preparation and management of project schedule and budget; write first draft of some technical communications; prepare bills. Assist in attending meetings with potential clients to discuss needs and available services; expand relationships with current clients. In the near term, this person would join a large strategic client relationship team deployed onsite to work directly with the client. The consultant would have primary accountability for high-quality work products in the assigned subject area. The consultant would join a multi-disciplinary team requiring day-to-day interaction as an individual contributor and as part of a project team.

Initial assignment will be onsite in NJ. Beyond this assignment, this position requires a willingness and ability to travel, including full-time assignments onsite with clients, as needed. Overall, the position is based in NYC which would be home base after this assignment, or in between onsite assignments.

Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience required; Master?s degree preferred. Likely majors in English, Communications, or Journalism. If other major, demonstrated writing ability. 6-8 years experience in communications and HR (e.g, benefits, compensation, change management); Communication (e.g. content, design, production, technology). Consulting background preferred. Strong project management, people management and business development skills required. Ability to work in a fast-paced change environment. Certification in one or more of the following a plus, but not required (CEBS or investment/financial related) and industry affiliations (IABC, IFEBP). Must be able to travel; Often there is evening/weekend work with little advance warning.
Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet and Video Production; New media a plus, Quark Express (Mac) a plus.df-tc
