Currently we have an opening for Sr. Configuration Analyst II with a nationwide healthcare company. This is a direct hire positions.

Senior Configuration Analyst II

POSITION SUMMARY :

Configuration/New Business Implementation: This position is responsible for accurately interpreting specific State and/or Federal Benefits, Contracts as well as additional business requirements and converting these terms to configuration parameters. Candidate will have at least seven years of experience administering benefits and provider contracts on a QNXT system or a comparable system for the purpose of accurately processing claims.

FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND STANDARDS:

Receive information from Health Plan CEO/ Sr. Management or designee for update of information in computer system(s). Analyze by applying knowledge and experience to ensure appropriate information has been provided. Problem solve with Health Plans to ensure all business requirements have been documented. Load and maintain provider, contract, benefit or reference table information into computer system(s) with attention to detail and accuracy in a timely manner to meet department standards of turnaround time and quality.
Apply previous experience and knowledge to research and resolve claim/encounter issues, pended claims and update system(s) as necessary.
Demonstrate consistent multi-tasking skills and planning for prioritizing workload with focus on deadlines in multiple health plans.
Special projects and demonstrate ability to meet deadlines.
Utilize effective verbal and written communication skills for external and internal relations; e.g. e-mails, fax transmissions, schedule meetings as needed, etc.
Maintain thorough and concise documentation for tracking of all provider, contract, benefit or reference table configuration change request forms for quality audit purposes. Weight all request received. Negotiate expected completion dates with Health Plans.

EDUCATION :
Prefer BA degree
Or
For Level II: 4-6 years in Managed Care

EXPERIENCE:
For Level II:
2 years minimum experience interpreting and configuring contracts and benefits
4-6 years minimum experience in Managed Care
4-6 years experience in Medical Terminology, CPT, ICD-9 codes etc

SPECIAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Computer proficiency in the Microsoft Suite of applications (Word, Excel and Access)
Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, CPT and HCPC
Prefer SQL experience.
