Description
FUNCTION: The Lead Configuration Analyst is responsible for overseeing and configuration changes to the FI / CO-PA modules of SAP, in support of user requirements. The individual must be able to support all phases of a project life cycle including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of solutions, as well as documentation, and end-user training.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES: As a lead member of the Configuration Team, is responsible for configuration of SAPs Financial modules, in support of requirements from the user communityFirst line of support for end users requests for configuration and enhancement,Analyze and correct problems as they occur in the Production SAP systemProvide liaison between SAP technical services and Users to address requests relating to configuration or business processesExtensive involvement with MIS on major projects for Business requirementsEnsure consistency of SAP configuration across all business unitsConduct presentations to client audiences and professional peersCommunicate with colleagues, management and business unit(s) about requirements, problems, project status and issuesResponsible for timely delivery of system solutions to business problemsFormulate and implement appropriate procedures/processes
RELATIONSHIPS: This individual will report to the Program Manager and work closely with other team members within the entire project. Must be able to effectively interact with the end-use community to gather requirements for enhancements or identification of problems in the production environment.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS: Knowledge of SAP master and transactional data, including General Ledger, Chart of Accounts, Material, Customer, and Vendor masters, as well as interfaces to other modulesAccounting reporting, including Balance Sheet and PL Statements, and accounting analysisAccounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Cash ApplicationP/A, PCA, Profit Center substitution Requires experience in at least one full SAP ImplementationTwo to three years experience SAP ConfigurationOne to two years experience in a lead capacity within a SAP configuration teamGood knowledge of SAP structures, configuration standards, object dependencies and tablesExperience with user exitsABAP is a plus
