Sr. Consumer Packaging Engineer

3D CAD/Solidworks preferred

Provide general packaging engineering support for a large diverse consumer products company.

Design, develop, test and specify primary, secondary, tertiary packaging and packaging systems for a wide range of lighting products for consumer, industrial/commercial and specialty markets. Provide engineering support for packaging automation and productivity projects in the areas of materials, labor, transportation and distribution efficiencies.

In the packaging division of OSI, we have adopted the guidelines of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition and are continuously seeking to provide solutions that meet the needs of both the consumer marketplace and the environment.

BS Packaging Engineering and 3-5 years professional experience required. 3D CAD (very preferably Solidworks) experience required. Candidates must have experience in consumer/retail experience including point of purchase displays.

Working knowledge of a broad range packaging materials to include folding cartons, corrugated shipping cases, trays, diecuts and displays, thermo/vacuum formed plastic parts and cushioning materials.

Working knowledge of general MS Office applications, CAD/engineering documentation & pallet/truck/container optimization software. General knowledge of distribution,logistics and warehouse operations.

ArtiosCAD preferred.

Candidates with a bachelors in a related engineering field who also have 5 years consumer packaging experience may be considered.
