Description
Our client is seeking a Sr. DSP Software Engineer. A stable and growing company is seeking Sr. DSP Software Engineers to work in R&D environment responsible for creating custom Digital Signal Processing solutions (Algorithm development) and communications systems in support of national security defense. We are looking for candidates nationwide willing to relocate to the Tucson, AZ area. Once again the positions are in Tucson, AZ.

Under general supervision, this individual will work on small project teams to conceive, analyze, design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain DSP software-based solutions for modern communications systems. Implementation includes algorithm development, hardware control, GUI design, and database development. The right candidate will be expected to demonstrate disciplined work habits leading to products that are well-structured, documented, and carefully tested. This position will allow for direct interaction with end users and customers.

Required Skills:
The skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, or other equivalent field of discipline
  • Demonstrated capability in scientific programming with C, C++, or similar high-level language on Unix/Linux
  • Strong background in DSP or in communications theory
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
Desired:
  • Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, or other equivalent field of discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in practical system development, DSP Algorithm development and deployment
  • X-Midas or MATLAB experience
Applicable Background (experience in any of the following):
  • Signal conditioning
  • Resampling
  • Interference canceling
  • Equalization
  • Cyclostationary techniques
  • Spectral methods
  • Satellite communications
  • Cellular communications systems
  • Modern wireless protocols, including but not limited to 802.11
  • Modern modulation schemes
  • Coding theory and techniques
