Description
Sirch Incorporated is currently looking for a Sr. Datawarehouse Specialist for a permanent position in Greenville, SC.

Summary of Responsibilities:

- Candidates must have at least seven years total IT experience and three years of practical experience using Informatica ETL Tool and/or Cognos ReportNet on projects that have reached - successful production implementation

- UNIX {AIX preferred} and Shell Scripting are also required

- Experience with DB2/UDB is also strongly preferred but not required

- Working experience of Data Warehousing concepts, principles, modeling, design practices and lifecycle methodology is required

- Team leadership skills and very strong oral & written communication skills are required



Principal Responsibilities:

- Formulate and document the physical process design based on business requirements and system specifications

- Provide input to project plan time schedule, scope and project impact assessments

- Develop and unit test Informatica load processes

- Develop Unit Test Plans to ensure compliance with the specifications

- Work with the Project Analyst via peer reviews and code inspections to ensure code meets the business and system requirements

- Work with other developers to ensure the code interdependencies are met and fully tested via a formal system test plan

- Develop the Unix shell scripts to manage the Informatica processes



Required Competencies:

- Must have strong SQL development skills with ETL tool or any other Client tool, Oracle, Sybase or UDB/DB2 relational database preferred - 2 years

- Must have worked on an implementation that made it to Production and must have minimum of 6 months of supporting an application in production environment

- Must be familiar with life cycle management of Informatica code, code promotion, code backup, work in a multi-developer environment

- Working knowledge of writing test plans, system testing and code documentation

- Working Knowledge or Familiarity with Data Modeling techniques {ErWin as a tool preferred}

- In-depth and working knowledge of Dimensional/ Star Schema modeling

- Application design and debugging skills with medium or large size {50 GB or more} data warehouse applications

- Working Knowledge of Unix Shell scripting

- Experience with the Informatica ETL tool is a strong plus.
