POSITION DESCRIPTION

Essential Job Functions:Functions commonly performed and necessary skills required for an employee in this specialty include:

Provide technical expertise to ensure that desktop and laptop computers used by NGA Senior Leaders are functioning properly.

Delivery of desktop and laptop computer support services, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting and customer assistance for PC hardware, Windows 2000 Professional operating system and associated application software.

Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems.

Installing hardware/software upgrades.

Manage, coordinate, and schedule hardware, software and modifications

Duties and qualifications, identifying both essential and marginal duties:

Strong inter-personal, problem resolution and coordination skills.

Proficient in oral and written communications.

Ability to think independently, and operate with minimal supervision.

Positive work attitude and flexibility to perform in a highly visible and time sensitive environment.

Flexible work schedule to provide 5 X 12 (6am-6pm) onsite coverage, and after hour on call support.

Education, Skill, and Experience Requirements:

Requires a BS in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or other technical discipline. This position requires a minimum of 7 years' experience, of which 4 years must be specialized experience that includes increasing responsibility for process improvement and technical performance management. Experience with Blackberry PDA hardware/software and knowledge of Lotus Notes is desired.

Must have active TS/SCI Clearance.
