Sr. Developer (Cloud Services Platform)

Microsoft Windows Azure (www.microsoft.com/azure) team is looking for strong developers to define and implement the Windows Azure Platform, Microsoft's Cloud Operating System that was recently announced at PDC 2008. Cloud computing is a revolutionary technology set to fundamentally change the way applications are developed and used. Join a dynamic and growing team and be part of defining a version 1 product.

The Azure™ Services Platform (Azure) is an internet-scale cloud services platform hosted in Microsoft data centers, which provides an operating system and a set of developer services that can be used individually or together. Azure’s flexible and interoperable platform can be used to build new applications to run from the cloud or enhance existing applications with cloud-based capabilities. Its open architecture gives developers the choice to build web applications, applications running on connected devices, PCs, servers, or hybrid solutions offering the best of online and on-premises.

• Strong design and development experience that includes development in C# or C++ and with distributed programming models
• Must have a history of successfully delivering on large scale projects
• Ability to learn and grasps concepts quickly in a fast paced environment is critical to success
• Passion and experiences in building and/or designing very large scale systems; prior experience in building large scale online systems is a big plus.
