Description
TMS is looking for a Senior Developer for a client in NYC in the Financial industry. Requires a wide range of dev & testing experience across multiple platforms. Strong Linux and/or Solaris skills, specifically server management/configuration optimization and tuning;
Java, C++ application development and engineering;
Perl and Sybase scripting development and engineering;
Knowledge of UNIX performance programs like IOSTATS, VMSTATS, TOPS as well as third party tuning and optimization tools;
Strong knowledge of testing practices & principles (Distributed);
Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
XML/MQ message management optimization experience;
Network de-buffing skills: understanding network impact on application performance;
Good communications skills - Must be able to work effectively with engineering, development, and senior management communities
