Warner Bros. Entertainment Studios in Burbank California is expanding its SAP footprint and the Warner Bros. internal recruiting team is actively seeking individuals to staff over 50 positions for our SAP Supply Chain implementation Project name Vanguard. The implementation will support the Warner Bros. Home Video/DVD Production global business unit, the largest home video business in the world. We are currently out of blueprint and ready for phase 2, which means we are ready for the majority of the team to start.

Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks a Sr. Disk Image Systems Analyst for the MIS WHV Service Management department.
  • This position is responsible for assisting with functions that support Warner Home Videos design, interpretation of design leading to configuration, configuration, testing, and implementation and deployment of evolving technologies in the area of pre-production.
  • Participates in all design aspects of pre-production including translating business requirements into lasting functional designs that provide more effective pre-production planning.
  • The design aspects include title intellectual property determination (non-physical properties), forecasting the disk image size, selecting the proper media type, product packaging specification, engineering bill-of-materials, and workflow to automate where appropriate.
  • Develops expert understanding of design as it relates to business functions.
  • Works across functions to ensure all needs are represented in the design.
  • Interprets design and business functions to fully support business process during system configuration.
  • Works closely with Disk Image Systems Analysts in the interpretation of business functions for design and in the execution of test plans.
  • Configures and unit tests SAP in accordance with the project deliverables Assists with the development of comprehensive testing plans covering all pre-production process variants, collects test results, establishes and maintains issue log, and actively researches and implements issue resolution.
  • Works closely with the market management and production planning counterparts to ensure proper data integration.
  • Develop, maintain and publish technical standards to be used globally.
  • Prepare and publish functional documents, including technical white papers, system requirement definitions, technical evaluation reports, systems engineering plan and operations readiness plan.
  • Work with Application Development, Application Support, and service areas to assess, design and integrate new systems. Performs other work related duties as necessary.



    Experience/Skills
    • BA/BS degree in MIS or related field required. MBA or MS in a related field preferred.
    • Knowledge of the Media industry, best practices, technologies, business functions and processes.
    • Demonstrates the ability to work across functional boundaries assembling requirements that work in concert with each other leading to increased efficiency.
    • Must have experience with application development and deployment life cycle and methodologies including: business process design, documentation and execution, conversions/interfaces, testing and successful implementation.
    • Experience in pre-production systems design and development.
    • Knowledge of PS, SEM, SRM, MM, c-Projects/c-Folders, Variant Configuration a plus.
    • Demonstrates the ability to quickly learn new technology and apply it to business needs.
    • Approximately 5-8 years of business experience within a Fortune 500 Consumer Products Company.
    • Experience implementing large-scale systems with high degree of change management.
    • Approximately 3-5 years SAP experience, focus on PLM a plus.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, both in verbal and written modes.
    • Must be able to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions.
    • Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively.
    • Must be able to work well under time constraints.
    • Must be able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties concerned.
    • Must be customer service-oriented.
    • Must be able to work independently.
    • Must be able to work flexible hours, including hours beyond the normal schedule when necessary.
    • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
