Description
This position is with a manufacturer of heavy / construction / ag equipment. The Software Engineer will be responsible for leading an embedded systems software development team to successful conclusions using C/C++, OOA/OOD, RTOS, and/or GPS; producing high quality software requirements specifications, software designs, documentation and code; and mentoring less senior Engineers in all areas of software engineering. Experience/Skills
Education: BS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.

Required skills: 5+ years working in the software development industry using C/C++; project leadership experience; experience with Object Oriented Analysis/Design; Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS); software for real-time machine control systems; a good understanding of electronic hardware (reading schematics and component data sheets, operating meters, oscilloscopes and emulators); and excellent communication skills.

Desired skills: Advanced degree; GPS (Global Positioning System) experience; work in the ag industry or a farm background; and experience with software development process.
