Description
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing production & training environments and troubleshooting problems; these environments support an integrated Siebel, Portal and Vitria Subscriber Management System used by Listener Care centers worldwide, and external partners

  • Responsible for ensuring that Production Environment Management initiatives are compliant with XM IT policies and procedures

  • Escalates issues appropriately with vendors

  • Works with application, network, NT, Unix and Database teams to resolve issues and make improvements in the production and training environments



Production Environment Management Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve production and training environment issues, related to Siebel configuration

  • Identify necessary SMS/Siebel/Vitria/Portal specific environment configurations changes and deploy; the environment includes Siebel softphone, EAI integration, connections to remote sites, etc.

  • Oversee environment monitoring plan, stats, anomalies, including Siebel performance

  • Enforces Configuration Management strategy and migration processes

  • Coordinate with offshore Environment Management Lead

  • Works closely with Listener Care Technical Operations and SMS Operations Team member to understand and resolve issues

  • Oversee outsourced Configuration Management team

  • Work with Performance testing team to improve system performance

  • Other duties as assigned



Education and/or Experience

  • BS/BA Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

  • Minimum 5 years experience within a complex information technology environments using SDLC, configuration management tools, release management, automated testing tools, etc.

  • Minimum 3 years in-depth Siebel knowledge (Call Center module preferred)

  • Minimum 1 year experience working in an integrated application (eg. CRM, middleware, billing)

  • Experience with subscriber management technology, systems, and business (CRM, billing)

  • Experience with CTI (computer telephone integration) design and implementation

  • Minimum 1 year experience with Load balancer and Multi-Server, Multi-Enterprise applications

  • Web services experience

  • Minimum 1 year experience with SQL, Sun Solaris, Windows NT, Oracle RDBMS, SQL, HTML, LDAP, Shell scripts

  • Experience in a Distributed Systems (WAN) Environment

  • Vitria, or other middleware experience

  • Configuration Management experience (eg. Starteam)

  • Automated testing tools (eg. Mercury WinRunner and LoadRunner) experience
